This blog is written with the following purposes in mind:
- to help me cope with my grief.
- to help celebrate tasha's craz-larity and awesom-tasticness.
- to offer information to readers/facebookers who were close to Tasha or myself or the family.
Tasha Eve Barry:
March 19, 1986 - June 25, 2007.
Tasha passed away this morning after suffering severe brain injury.
She was taken off life support, having been braindead since the afternoon of Sunday 24th.
Unfortunately, her organs were unfit for donation due to complications stemming from her injury... EXCEPT!!
(UPDATE:) They were able to save her corneas to donate to somebody new!
This means that her beautiful green eyes will give somebody else the gift of sight!
Tasha was enjoying a joyous weekend with friends.
She died in the throws of doing what she loved: photography.
In the midst of taking a closeup shot of an oncoming train, Tasha was struck unconscious - seemingly without pain or fear - immediately upon impact.
She was airlifted to Royal Columbian hospital Emergency where her body was cared for to the upmost, and visited by her family: Cyril, Bonnie, Trevor, Bill, Diane, Sharon and Patty; and her friend Chris.
We all love her, and she will be dearly missed.
Funeral preparations are in the works, and updates will be edited into this blog as often as I can manage.
Plans point towards a Saturday afternoon in Mission.

The Service for Tasha will be held at 11am this Saturday 30 June.
at the NORTHSIDE COMMUNITY CHURCH in Mission
33507 Dewdney Trunk Road, Mission, BC.
Reception to follow at Rockwell's Restaurant located above the Best Western Hotel on Lougheed Hwy, and off of Hurd street below the hospital.

The service will be held at the Northside Community Church,
33507 Dewdney Trunk Road, Mission
on Saturday, June 30, 2007 @ 11am
with interment to follow at Hatzic Cemetery.
There will be a reception at
Rockwell's Rest & Banquet Rooms which is located
at 33281 Lougheed Hwy. (Northwest Corner of
Herd & Lougheed at the light turn left eastbound.)
In lieu of flowers donations to the Variety Childrens Charity
(Tasha's fav) would be appreciated.
